This website is a way to bring to your attention to what is happening in Washington, D.C. Now more than ever, Congress has become a place of indecision and chaos. I’ve grown frustrated with the indecision that floods Congress and I’m sure you have, too.
We see the news headlines, but sometimes even those are tainted. What’s really in these bills they are passing?
Our Congressmen pledged to work for us and to not be influenced by special interests, but there are plenty of lawmakers on Capitol Hill who are quick to dismiss those campaign promises. Those politicians gladly accept donations and contributions from lobbyists, big corporations and even other politicians in exchange for a vote.
If you find a piece of legislation that you feel passionate about, reach out to your representative and tell them how you feel. Take your opinion to social media. Call your representative in Congress and request a town hall meeting. Our representatives in Washington are supposed to answer to the people that elect them– us. If they don’t, then it might be time to reevaluate if they are deserving of reelection?
The main focus, currently, is healthcare. We need to ensure that Congress does not stop working to reform healthcare. That’s why I’m giving you a voice to share your concerns, thoughts and problems regarding healthcare. We have surveys for you to leave feedback, a phone line for you to record testimonials and events in place for you to attend. We plan to package up all your feedback and send it to Congress so they know how you feel about the current state of healthcare.
