Politico: These are the incumbents who should be sweating – TN District 8

“These are the incumbents who should be sweating”

POLITICO just identified our election as one in which the incumbent “should be sweating.” Our campaign has been building momentum for weeks now and national media outlets like POLITICO are recognizing what I have known throughout this campaign– West Tennesseans are tired of having a Congressman who says one thing, but does another.

West Tennessee wants a Congressman who will vote to protect life, defend our 2nd Amendment and work to reduce our nation’s out-of-control spending.

Let’s use this momentum tomorrow, on Election Day, to send a clear message to Congress: West Tennessee wants a real conservative in Washington.

Tennessee 8th District (August 2 primary)

David Kustoff survived a 13-candidate Republican primary two years ago to capture this West Tennessee seat, winning with just 27 percent of the vote. Thursday’s primary will test whether Kustoff, has coalesced local Republicans behind him.

His chief opponent: George Flinn, a frequent candidate who finished second to Kustoff last time around. A wealthy self-funder who has poured $3.1 million of his own cash into his campaign, Flinn is arguing that Kustoff’s voting record is too moderate.

There isn’t any public, reliable polling of the race, but Kustoff was apparently concerned enough to solicit– and receive– an endorsement from Trump via Twitter last Friday.
