Our Current Congressman Treats Our Money Like His Play Money

Our Current Congressman Treats Our Money Like His Play Money

Politicians seem to enjoy saying one thing and doing another. They like to pull the wool over our eyes, all while claiming to be transparent.

Isn’t it interesting that we are starting to get mail from our Congressman now that election time is near? You’ve probably noticed the mail. It looks a lot like a campaign mailer that you would get from someone running for office. But, there is just one important difference you should know. If you read the fine print, you’ll notice it says “This mailing was prepared, published and mailed at taxpayer expense.”

That’s right. David Kustoff is spending our hard earned dollars to send you government junk mail. Which, in reality, is just campaign propaganda. Don’t let him fool you.

Where were all of these updates last year? I guess there was nothing to update us on since they did not repeal Obamacare, did not get a responsible budget passed and did not protect our right to internet privacy. Worst of all, he’s sending us this mail with our tax dollars.

Who did he send these mailings to? Did he send them to all of District 8? Did he send them to Republicans only?

As a conservative, I do not believe in wasting tax dollars on something that will be thrown in the garbage. We need to make government more efficient, not bloated and spend-happy.

Our Congressman seems to be self-serving and only wants you to see his name big and bold, but I want you to see the small print. The devil is always in the details. We deserve better than this.

This election in West Tennessee is about a clear choice.

As the only conservative Republican candidate running for Congress in West Tennessee, I will not sell us out.

Unlike my opponent, I am not taking money from special interest groups. As a small business owner and someone that has created hundreds of jobs, I know the effort it takes to start, sustain and grow a business– I’ve proven it for decades. Efficiency is key and keeping waste to a minimum is a priority.

As your Congressman, I will not treat our tax dollars like it’s something that should be thrown in the garbage. You don’t waste your hard earned money and neither should our elected officials.

We need to hold David Kustoff accountable come Election Day on August 2, 2018.
